$60,000 Mega Satellite Saturday @ Hurstville

The fortnightly $60,000 OPT Mega Satellite is on again Saturday (Jan-3) at PokerDome Hurstville. Entry is $110 with 1 in 7 player qualifying for the $60,000 Main Event on January 24th.

At the last Mega Satellite in Dec-20, 130 players competed and 18 seats were given away as well as a bubble prize of $400. Each seat is valued at $700.

The Saturday schedule for Hurstville looks like this;

Jan-03 $110 Main Event Mega Satellite 1pm
Jan-10 $200 + $10 Deep Stack - Dealers Provided 1pm
Jan-17 $110 Main Event Mega Satellite 1pm
Jan-24 $640 + $60 OPT Main Event @ PokerDome 1pm
 
OPT Franchise Owners Chop APPT Teams Event

Congratulations to OPT newest franchise owners Martin Stewart & Jason Clissold who finished top 2 in the APPT teams event. After knocking out David Saab (46th in 2008 WSOP) and Eddie Sabat in 3rd position, a deal was done and the Martin & Jason took home in excess of $22,000.  Congratulations from the team at OPT.
 
$60,000 Main Event Satellites Commenced

Congratulations to everyone who participated and won their seat in the $60,000 Main Event. A strong field of 130 entrants converged on the PokerDome last Saturday where 18 seats (valued at $700) each were given away.

With much of the Australian poker community in Sydney to contest the APPT Grand Final and preliminary events, no-one was expecting to see 284 players take part in the first annual Oz Poker Tour Main Event hosted by Crown Casino in Melbourne.

Team OPT Off To Crown Casino

Last Saturday say 146 players compete for the last seats on the plane to the OPT Main Event at the Crown Poker Room.  The action came thick and fast with the field diminishing at a rapid rate. The rate of eliminations slowed drastically as the bubble approached with the bubble lasting an astonishing 2 hours.

10 More Crown Packages Given Away

Saturday’s Mega Satellite at the PokerDome saw another 10x $1500 packages given away.  With a field of 125 runners, overlay was the word of the day as the field dwindled down to 20 runners by 8pm.
