SHIRE – Taren Point Hotel
After pocketing a handy $550 for second place in Sunday’s Taren Point Super Series final, it was David Millard who proved to be one of the top players in the shire, when he ended up with all the chips in Taren Point’s Monday night game. Dave has been dominating the Shire crowd in recent times, also taking third place in last week’s Taren Point game and first place in the game at Engadine RSL.

Jessica Sorrasson was the worthy opponent when it came to heads up and the two battled it out for a good 30 minutes before all the money went in on a flop of Kh Js 7d, Dave showed Kd Qc and Jess turned over Qs Jh. Dave’s top pair held up and with his slight chip advantage, the two exhausted players were happy to call it a night with Dave pocketing the top prize.

It was the regulars who dominated the final table this week. Adam Rowling managed a respectable 3rd place after winning the previous week’s game and Matt Pettit was left in 4th place when slow playing top pair proved costly with Adam hitting runner runner trips. Unfortunately for Tim Fotinopoulos he will hold the title of bubble boy until next week…

Taren Point Hotel also hosted the Shire’s Super Series final on Sunday which generated a prize pool of over $2000 in value. Matt O’Sullivan took the title and collected $710 for his efforts. With each Oz Poker game you play in the shire making entry into the Super Series final cheaper, why not come along to Taren Point on Monday nights at 7pm or Engadine RSL on Wednesday nights at 7.30pm for your chance to play in a well structured comp with a great bunch of players and a chance to pocket some cash as well! And best of all, our prize pools are rake free.

Rumour has it there is a bounty on David’s head this Wednesday night at Engadine, so come along for your shot at the title.
