Quads Galore @Rutherglen Tavern |
|
Over the past 6 weeks at The Rockin’ Rutherglen Tavern, the Final Table Jackpot has gone off several times.
It all started on January 21st, when the Old English Git – Anthony Thomas hit Quad Aces. He also won the Tournament, collecting for himself $300.00

The following week, Mark Sowden continued the trend by hitting Quad 9’s, and also going on to win the Tournament. Mark collected approximately $250.00 for his efforts.
This was also Marks first Oz Poker Tour Win. He backed it up on February 19th with his second win.

And the very next week, Kelly Hogan again hit Quad Aces. Kelly like Mark started the hand with a pocket pair, hitting Trips on the Flop, and the Magic Quads on the Turn.
Unfortunately Kelly did not manage to win the Tournament, but with the jackpot being knocked around each week, Kelly still collected for her efforts $120.00

And to top off the month of February, Casey Frank finished off with Quad 10’s. Casey started the hand with Ace 10, her Favourite hand, hitting Trips on the Flop, a Full House on the Turn, and Quads on the River. This hand brought Casey back into the Tournament, and aided her in living up to her Nickname of “The Rash”, as she never goes away, and helped her win yet another Event.

The trend continued in March, with franchise owner Leigh Nothrop having a night off, where he managed to hit Quad 9’s on the Final Table. Leigh was dealt pocket 9’s, against pocket 7s and Pocket Jacks, hit a set on the flop, which also gave his opponent a flush draw, but was lucky enough to hit Quads on the River.
